Lake City's Treshon Burgess finishes second in boys 400 dash in AAA state meet

Tiara Muldrow finishes third in girls 100-meter hurdles

Lake City Lake City High School’s Treshon Burgess finished second in the boys 400-meter dash in the AAA track and field state meet on May 17 at Lower Richland High in Hopkins.

 

Burgess finished in a time of 49.10 seconds. Fountain Inn’s Alex Smith won in a time of 48.79.

 

Also scoring points for the Panthers boys were Jefferey McFadden, who finished eighth n the long jump and the eighth-place 4x100-meter relay team.

 

On the girls side, Tiara Muldrow finished third in the 100-meter hurdles. Teammate Emonie McKenzie finished eighth in the event.

Lake City held its annual Athletic Awards Ceremony on May 15. Student-athletes were recognized with the following awards:
