WEEK 9 STATEWIDE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL SCHEDULE

Staff reports • October 13, 2026

There are just 3 weels left in regular season; only 5 SCISA games this week with built-in bye week

Sumter – The homestretch of the high school football season is here, as unbelievable as it sounds. Counting this weekend, there are only three weeks left in the regular season.

There is nothing but region games being played in the South Carolina High School League for the second week in a row. Some of the contests that will go a long way in deciding, if not determining outright, region titles include: 4-time defending AAAAA state champion Dutch Fork, 7-0 on the season, taking on 6-1 River Bluff in Region 3, two 7-0 teams in Daniel and Pickens in Region 1-AAA, 7-0 Bishop England taking on 2-time defending AAA state champion and 4-3 Oceanside Collegiate Academy in Region 5, 5-3 Sumter meting 4-2 Ridge View in Region 5-AAAAA, two 6-1 teams in Lugoff-Elgin and Dreher in Region 4-AAAA, 5-2 Saluda visiting 7-0 Orangeburg-Wilkinson in Region 2-AA and 4-3 Manning meeting 5-1 Dillon in Region 6-AA.

There are only five SCISA games being played this week. SCISA had October 16 as a built-in bye week where teams could reschedule games that were postponed from earlier in the season for whatever reason.

One of the games is actually scheduled for Wednesday when Wardlaw visits Richard Winn in an 8-man contest set for a 6 p.m. start.
