Revised 2026 HSSR Baseball Team Superlatives

Publishers Note: For the first time in our 40- year history we had a major crash of our main hard drive (500,000 files initially lost but many have been recovered and are in the process of being recovered) since mid-June. This is why our all-state softball team has not been posted, as with other Spring Sports all-state teams just yet. We pushed out our 2026 HSSR all-state baseball team in the Coaches Issue, and we recently discovered it was only 80 per cent complete, and we are working with the Geek squad at Best Buy to recover more files. Our goal is to be able to place all our Spring all-state teams in our annual football issue being produced at the end of August. We have recently updated our all-state baseball team so we are republishing it but several more names will likely be added as we recover nominations we had stored on our hard drive that crashed. Your understanding is greatly appreciated. The HSSR has purchased a brand-new state-of-the-art computer, with all software upgraded, with top-of-the-line virus protection. So far, the hard drive crash has cost the HSSR over $10,000, factoring in a new computer, all software upgrades to 2026 standards, technical support etc. (It has been a nightmare and expense we had not expected!) 

The state of SC should be super proud of the fact the Palmetto State had three 2026 baseball seniors drafted in the first two rounds of the recent professional baseball draft. They were HSSR 2026 Co-Mr. Baseball Players, SS Taj Marchand of James Island-33rd-Rays), LHP Carson Boleman of Southside Christian-29th-Giants, along with Christ Church SS/3B Bo Lowrance -Dodgers-40th. Lowrance was the first player drafted by the Dodgers who forfeited their 21st pick (would have been Lowrance) due to a complex issue related to over signing free agents the previous year.
