High School Sports Report 40th Annual Prep Football Media Day set for Wednesday, July 22, at USC's indoor practice facility
Players from around the state are invited to the Jeri and Steve Spurrier Indoor Practice Facility from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Moncks Corner— High School Sports Report will conduct its 40th annual prep football media day inside the University of South Carolina’s Jerri and Steve Spurrier Indoor Practice Facility located on National Guard Boulevard in Columbia on Wednesday, July 22, beginning at 4 p.m. and running through 6 p.m.
“We would like to thank USC head coach Shane Beamer and Director of Football Operations George Wynn for the opportunity to use the centrally located facility once again,” said HSSR Publisher Billy G. Baker. “It is great to know that we will be weatherproof inside and also out of the July extreme heat.”
Players need only to wear their game jersey to the event. Shorts and flip flops are just fine also, and the event is free of charge.
Any varsity player who is a rising freshman through senior is welcome to attend the event with approval from his high school head coach.
Every varsity player in attendance will have his picture taken and will be asked to fill out a 1-page prospect form providing more details about himself as a football player.
There will also be a special cover photo of HSSR Top 100 senior players who attend the media day as well as a junior cover also. These prospect lists can be seen on the home page of hssr.com and the list is also in the process of being updated so check it again in a few days.
This event helps the HSSR produce the state’s only 112-page prep football tabloid in late August. This issue, like all of our monthly issues, are uploaded to our companion website hssr.com. Google analytics has recently verified that the free website hssr.com received one million home page views between April 2025 and April 2026. It was also verified that hssr.com averages 40,000 unique viewers each and every month!
This is important because any article that appears in our publication can also be seen by grandparents, relatives, college coaches, etc., for free anywhere in the world!
