Bamberg-Ehrhardt Still Hungry After Winning Title
Bamberg-Ehrhardt was the only school in the state of South Carolina to go undefeated at 15-0 in it's 2025 run for the state football title.

Bamberg – Bamberg-Ehrhardt won their third state championship in school history and did it by being the only school in the state of South Carolina to go undefeated at 15-0 and they did it in dominating fashions outscoring their opponents 758 to 122 but all that did was make the Raiders hungrier as the 2026 season approached.
“We practiced all fall like we hadn’t won a state championship. The kids are hungry and they know what it takes but they still feel like they have something to prove because each year is different,” said BE head coach Corey Crosby. “Nothing has changed with their effort and we aren’t shying away from anything and we are ready for the challenges ahead.”
The Red Raiders lost for the first time in 17 games last Fridy night when they fell to AAAA ranked Hilton Head 35-24. The Seahawks jumped out to a 21-0 lead before the Red Raider scored the next 17 to make 21-17. The Red Raiders played the second half without senior all state quarterback Brian McMillian, who was crapping up. Back up quarterback sophomore Nahsiir Singleton tossed two touchdown in his first action at quarterback.
“We needed a game like this to get us ready for the rest of the year. This will help us more than winning by 50,” said Crosby.
The Red Raiders return 18 starters from last season’s championship team so they are poised for a repeat but there is a lot of football to be played.
Returning to run the offense is McMillian (6-2,190). The class A player of the year (HSSR) is coming off a season for the ages where accounted for nearly 5000 total yards and 70 touchdowns. The 70 touchdown responsibility is second in state history.
He has most of his top targets back in seniors Charles (Anthony) Williams (5-11,190), Jason Youmans (6-1,180), Jordan Bovain (6-1,170), and H-back junior Malik Atterberry (6-3,210). They combined for over 120 receptions for over 2000 yards last season and 32 scores.
Seniors Jordan Williams (5-11, 190) and Rakeem Walker (6-2,195) will tote the mail but others will help carry the load.
Leading the way for the offense is the offensive line led by seniors Simeon Bamberg (6,305), Pierre Fuller (6-3,295), Keegan Daff (6,245), junior Aaden McCormick (6-1,255), and sophomore Ricco Parler (6,275). This group paved the way for almost 8000 yards of offense last season. Daff is coming off an injury.
“We needed a game like this. We fought hard all night long and I’m proud of the way we responded to the early adversity.
“We practiced all fall like we hadn’t won a state championship. The kids are hungry and they know what it takes but they still feel like they have something to prove. Nothing has changed with their effort and we aren’t shying away from anything.
We stepped up our non-region schedule to get use ready for the playoffs. Playing teams like Hilton Head that are big and physical will only make us better.
Defensively, Bamberg will joined up front by junior Hunter Ackiss (6,250) and Malachi Still (6,285).
Senior linebackers Darian Sease (5-11, 190) and Ahmad Busby (5-11,185) are back and will be joined by junior Travis Dwight (6-2,210) and sophomore Asiel Graham (6,185).
Joining Walker, McMillian and Youman’s in the secondary is senior Jah’Mir Wright (5-10,160).
Senior Charles Breland will handle the kicking chores.
