HSSR announces football honors for 2011 season

Goose Creek – With only one all-star game remaining before the football season is officially over in South Carolina, the High School Sports Report has announced top honors for players and coaches for the 2011 season.

The publication has released its Coaches and Players of the Year, as well as the 2011 Statewide All-State team.

Later this week, we will release all-state teams for each classification, breaking down AAAA, AA and A into two divisions.

Lexington High receiver Shaq Roland has been named the HSSR Career Mr. Football while Gaffney receiver Quinshad Davis was named the publicationŐs 2011 Mr. Football.

The 2011 awards banquet will be held in Columbia in February, after National Signing Day. The banquet will honor all-state teams in all of the fall sports.
