Sumter – Andrew Jackson Academy rallied for a 23-7 deficit after one quarter and came back for a 75-62 victory over Patrick Henry Academy on Tuesday in a SCISA AA boys basketball state tournament quarterfinal game at Wilson Hall’s Nash Student Center.
The Warriors will take on Cathedral Academy in a semifinal game on Thursday at Nash Student Center at 7 p.m.
PHA led 41-32 at halftime before AJA took a 54-49 lead entering the fourth quarter.
Gage Dicks led Andrew Jackson with 28 points. Hayden McClung finished with 21 followed by Hall Sease with 12 and Carter Brown with 11.
The Patriots were led by Hugh Fairey with 22 points. Forest Fairey and Dai Dai Glover both had 16, Andrew Searles had 10 and Rowen Croft had eight.

Dorchester 58
Sumter – Thompson Stone, Sean Locklear and Jackson Outlar combined for 63 points to lead Dillon Christian School to a 69-58 win over Dorchester Academy on Tuesday at Nash Student Center in the SCISA AA boys basketball state tournament quarterfinals.
Dillon Christian will take on Bethesda Academy on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Nash Student Center in a semifinal game.
Thompson led the Warriors with 27 points. Locklear finished with 19 while Outlar had 17.
Wayland Gruber and Abe Shuler both had 22 to lead Dorchester. John Quattlebaum had 10.
Riverpointe Christian 59

Sumter – Riverpointe Christian Academy is in its first year of fielding a boys basketball team. It is one win away from playing for the SCISA Class A state title.
Riverpointe knocked off defending state champion Faith Christian 59-37 on Tuesday at Nash Student Center in a state tournament quarterfinal game. It will take on Ragin Prep on Thursday at Nash Student Center beginning at 4:30 p.m. in a semifinal game.
“We knew we put the work in to be here,” said RCA head coach Ivan Jenkins, whose team is now 20-7 on the seaosn. “I didn't anticipate us to get this far. I just counted on what we worked on and it has helped us to get to this spot.”
The Wolves only led 25-20 at halftime, but outscored Faith 17-9 in the third quarter to open a 42-29 advantage.
“The second half we started being disciplined,” Jenkins said. “We started sacrificing. The first half it was a lack of discipline. We weren't rotating, we weren't talking. We started clicking in the second half. All of those things started falling in place for us.”
Christian Davis and Terry Truesdale Jr. both scored 13 points to lead a balanced Riverpointe attack. Kevin Dukes Jr. had 10, Jamerious Dukes had eight, Kymaniin Robinson had six and Alante Manigo had five.
Bryce Coleman led Faith Christian, which finished with an 11-14 record, with 15 points. Ian McClary had six and Isaiah Creel Freberg had five.
